An alien themed party is a fun, inexpensive party for young children and adults like, provided that there are allowances made for the age of the attendees and you've collected the right kind of Alien Party Supplies. Fully costumed, glow in the dark lights and no outside lighting is probably better suited to teens or adult partygoers, whereas a field trip to the local planetarium or science museum might be enough fun for younger folk. Try for a black, green and silver color scheme for your alien party, complete with glow in the dark paraphernalia from a dollar store, such as light sticks. Streamers, pie plates hung from the ceiling (UFO's) and balloons (planets) are all great additions to the décor, as are black garbage bags covering all of the windows for a really creepy, but fun look. Your party cake should be cooked in an oven-safe bowl and inverted once cooked onto a tin foil base. Frost it with grey icing, and decorate it with sparkles or gummy bears for a glittery touch. Don't forget the sparkler candles, too! For other foodstuffs, try naming the regular items you serve with spaced-out names, like Pluto Pizza or Green Slime Jello. A star or moon shaped piñata is a good addition to the party fun, filled with funny alien party favors, like alien erasers, black licorice, green fruit roll ups, M&M's (remember, they were E.T.'s favorite!), more glow in the dark toys and star or moon confetti.
