Why not have an office party that not only brings the office together, but raises money for a good cause, while creating some unique Office Party Supplies? You can do both with a flea market party for the entire office. Ask all of your employees to scrounge around their houses and donate items they no longer want or need for the garage sale. Have someone orchestrate the event (i.e. table rentals, advertising, location of the flea market, how many tables each employee will need for their stuff, etc.) and make sure to have all of the final details planned out at least two weeks before the big event. Let employees know there will be a contest of sorts for the person who raises the most money for the charity chosen through their flea market. Perhaps split the amounts with employees - whatever is sold, 50% goes to charity, and the other 50% goes to the employee who sold it. Have a food tent sent up, with easy canteen-like foods readily available, such as hot dogs, hamburgers, juice and pre-made salads. Hire a band (or a couple) for the day as well, so that visitors and employees alike can eat, drink and dance while perusing the treasures before them. Also have some entertainment for the children, too. Perhaps a clown who can make balloon animals, or a face painter would be appropriate. And make sure to have photographers on hand to take pictures of the event not only for the media, but for the employees in attendance as well.
